Customer Review: If you'd like to learn how to knit socks the traditional 4-needle method, this is the book for you. The instructions are clearly written with good photos to accompany them. Socks in this book are knitted from the cuff down to the toe. One of the best things about this book is that it gives... more info
Customer Review: The projects in this book are lovely. They are refined without being hard and most of the clothing will work nicely with a variety of yarns. As the other posters have mentioned, this isn't a book where one or two projects will be liked and then the others ignored. You will have a difficult time... more info
Customer Review: I passed this book on to my daughter It was a bit complicated for me and way tooo involved to be fun or interesting I am sure that there are people who would find it a good source but it was not what I thought that I was ordering
Customer Review: As a knitting teacher, I've really liked being able to say about Interweave that they are consistently well-edited and well-thought out patterns. This, unfortunately, is not the case in this book. One of my students bought the book and has worked on several patterns, all of which had errors. In one... more info
Customer Review: This really is my favorite sock book. I have been wanting it for a while, but just kept waiting for price to come down. It is well worth the money. I have numerous sock books, but this one has socks for everyone and they are all beautiful. I am knitting one of the pairs now and can't wait to finish... more info
Customer Review: I was so hopeful for this book, and when I received it, I was kind of let down. Several of the bags are not at all stylish, and I would only knit maybe 2 of the patterns. I appreciate the design section and the techniques section, though.
Customer Review: Even if there were no patterns in this book, it would be worth every penny. The "Beyond the Basics" sections are so clear and well-explained that I refer to this book constantly. Several of these sections were written by Ann Budd, one of my favorite knitting authors. There have been complaints... more info
Customer Review: I have many of Ann Budd's knitting books and really like them. Don't think I like this one as much as others I have. But there are several items that I'll probably make. Ann Budd's instructions are easy to follow, and I like the items I have made.
Customer Review: I'm not big on ponchos or capelets, but thankfully this book has a good mix of designs. I like the lighter weight designs the best - the cashmere wrap (almost a blanket) and the lacy Shetland Triangle and Wrapped in Traditions design. I quite like the front cover design too. However, some of these... more info
